Cloistered Homeschool Syndrome

This article is one of the most balanced views on the topic that I've read.

It says in so many words the ideas that have been formulating in my head about the way we hope to raise our children . . .

A family picture

Hi folks. Long time no post.

It's hard to believe that we are already into a new semester, and another new year. Aaron and I are both studying full-time, and working part-time. Life has been incredibly busy . . . but whose isn't? : )

It is so easy to be caught up in the big picture . . . our goals, our plans for the days ahead. Always the days ahead. Every once in awhile, we have to remind ourselves to pause. To just relish these moments. Our here and now.

Our little baby doll is already over three months old. She's been growing incredibly fast, and getting quite chubby! In fact, I don't know of any nickname she has right now (Pumpkin, Chunky, Pudgy-cheeks, etc.) that doesn't give others visions of a baby, pleasantly plump. Hehe!

Today, on our way home from church, we stopped by a nearby park on the spur of the moment for some pictures. See for yourself!

The Story of My Life ~ Stuffed in the Corner ALOT

It's past midnight. I'm the ONLY baby at IU's library.

And then . . .

Oh NO! Daddy wants to play cribbage tonight.

Ok, guys. I'm getting bored.

The chewing continues. . .

Woah, Did I just hear someone say MORE pictures?

Yes, I have a paunch. But ~ So do You. :P

Mature infant?

I often wonder at the maturest expression
from this tiny face that gazes back at me.

Well, ok. Sometimes she does look like a real baby. :-)

From Little Miss Posh

Daddy took mama out on a date! They bundled me up warmly for the night out, and I behaved perfectly (read slept the entire time) as their Third wheel.

They talked, and laughed, and had a great time. Even if they didn't forget I was actually there, they sure acted like it! I'm SO glad my parents are the best of friends. :)

P/S: Can you believe I'm already over a month old?

She's the smallest thing we put our whole lives into . . .

Small child-once you were a hope, a dream. Now you are reality.
Changing all that is to come. So small. A flick of star stuff.
A mind to touch the edges of the universe. A love to hold our hearts forever.

How can anyone resist these faces?

"The Un-Amused"

"The Tough Girl"

"The Curious"

"The Thinker"

"The Bored"
